Communities Made SimpleI'm Still Learning...10 years in the world of marketing. 20 years in community building and management. Even with all that experience, I'm still learning. Every single day. From other creators. From my community. From myself. The journey of self-improvement and growth NEVER ends. The moment you get comfortable with the status quo, is the moment you make room for someone more driven to overtake you. That doesn't mean it's not okay to take time off. In fact I encourage it. Consider this. We build our businesses to create the opportunity for time freedom. If your business cannot survive without you for a single day... Have you actually created any freedom then? Or have you now found a way to transform your 9-5 commitment into a 24/7 commitment. Social Media Shouldn't Be A ChoreI get it. Especially in the 'solopreneur' and 'small business owner' era of this journey. It's really hard to NOT assign a dollar value to the time spent on a task. But that's exactly what's holding you back. Social media is not something that we should be using "Sales Per Post" or "Dollar Value Per Post" as a metric of success. Sure, getting sales from your posts is cool, but that shouldn't be the priority. If you end up focusing too much on that... Your profile will end up looking like a discount catalog. All people will see when they reach your page is an endless list of product promotion, sales, discounts, and manifestations. Not exactly the ideal first impression you're looking for. When someone visits your page, you want them to see the time and effort you've invested. The passion you have for your craft. Not the desperation for a dollar. Get out there and build your community. Don't stress about your follower count. Focus on creating relationships. The rest will follow.
