What's REALLY the Difference?

Communities Made Simple

Is there REALLY a Difference?

Community, audience... whatever... it's all the same right?

Maybe not.

Before you grab your pitchforks...

Hear me out!

Give me a chance to explain myself.

Now, I'm not here to start a revolution, or anything... just maybe bring some new perspective to the conversation.

Now if you've been following me for a while, you might have heard me mention this before, but even still...

You'll want to tune in for the rest.

Community

What is a community?

A community is a group of people that share a common interest or trait.

A community is a group of people that you talk TO.

A community is generally a tighter knit group of people that honestly wants to authentically engage with your content.

Audience

An audience is a group of spectators... generally at an event.

An audience is a group of people you talk AT.

An audience is generally a broader group of people that prefers to digest your content and keep going on their way.

The REAL Difference?

So what's the REAL difference then?

The level of participation.

Yes, you can make sales to both... but you have to know the difference.

Knowing how your following chooses to interact with your content is the key to creating stuff that works for them.

You're still telling your story.

Just in a way that falls within their comfort zone.

Happy Holidays!

For those of you who have been following me on Threads for a while, you'll know that I've been working on a new guide.

Well, it's finally out!

A new guide within the Communities Made Simple series, as that's my real focus here, but that's beside the point.

I've got a fun little freebie to give you a tease of what's included in this new edition.

Thanks again for being here!

Get out there and build that community.

Don't worry about your follower count.

Focus on creating those relationships.

The rest will follow.
